Africa

 This term our topic is Africa.

Our English work will based around 'Meerkat Mail' by Emily Gravett and the children will learn how to write letters and postcards.  

We will be looking at Animals including humans in Science and we will be learning about the importance of exercise, healthy eating and keeping clean.

In History, we will be learning about Mary Seacole as a significant person who had to overcome racial prejudice to help injured soldiers in the Crimean War. 

As part of our place study we will look at Kenya.  We will also compare hot and cold countries.

In ICT, we will also be learning how to use different sounds to create music using 2 sequence and learning how to present our work in a variety of different ways including stories, quizzes, non fiction texts and presentations.
